Dr. Raymond Wee Presents at a National Retina Conference

Polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy is a variant of macular degeneration. It is thought to be more common in Asians but is likely underdiagnosed on the Mainland. Polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy is a research interest at Retina Consultants of Hawaii. Because of our experience with this disease, Dr. Raymond Wee was invited to present about this disease to many of the thought leaders in the field of retina.

The Ocular Imaging Conference / Western Association for Vitreoretinal Education (OIC/WAVE) conference was held in Colorado in June ’16. Dr. Raymond Wee appreciated the opportunity to present and also to learn about advanced surgical techniques and to review many challenging cases. All of the physicians at Retina Consultants of Hawaii believe in continuing education to remain current with the latest treatments and ideas in the field. In addition, through the research performed at Retina Consultants of Hawaii, we are happy to be at the forefront of contributing to the knowledge of retinal physicians throughout the world.
